Content analysis was used with the time lines whereby interviewer reflections paired with them to identify behaviour patterns and the contexts in which they occur.

Content analysis was used with interviews so that patterns in informant’s recollections could be analysed and compared to interviewer reflections.

Photo images were analysed in conjunction with the observer’s reflections/descriptions as these allowed the nuances of the subject (i.e. the observed) such as facial expression, posture, closeness-distance to others, to be considered in depth and compared to/combined with the stories.
